Extraction uses the pdf.js text layer in the browser (the same locally-bundled PDF engine AnyFileX ships): each page content stream is decoded and its text runs are reassembled. PDFs that are scanned images contain no text layer, so nothing can be extracted without OCR.

Convert PDF document pages into lossless PNG graphics with sharp text, vector curves, and uncompressed quality.
