How to Open a .ODP File
A .ODP file is a ODP File Format. Opening a .ODP file requires software capable of decoding the ODP File Format format. If your operating system lacks a registered viewer or native codec, the file cannot be previewed without additional tools.
Windows 11 & 10 Instructions
- Open in Microsoft Office or LibreOffice: Launch Microsoft 365 or free open-source LibreOffice, click 'File' → 'Open' and select your .ODP document.
- Browser PDF / Document Reader: For PDF or eBook files, drag directly into Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to read without third-party software.
macOS Instructions
- Instant Quick Look (Spacebar): Select the .ODP file in Finder and tap the Spacebar on your keyboard for an instant floating preview.
- Open with Apple Native App: Double-click the file to launch in Apple Preview / Quick Look.
- Set Permanent macOS Association: Select the file in Finder → press Cmd + I (Get Info) → expand 'Open with:' → choose your preferred app → click 'Change All...'.
