Download any direct HTTP or HTTPS file link with a custom filename and browser-only transfer
AnyFileX first tries a direct browser download. If the source blocks CORS, a short-lived server fetch completes the download without storing the file. Private and local network addresses are blocked for safety.
Enter a direct HTTP or HTTPS link to the file you want to save.
Keep the suggested server or URL filename, or enter a custom name.
Fetch the file in browser memory or open the source directly when CORS prevents a local fetch.
The workspace first uses the browser Fetch API and Blob URLs. If a source blocks CORS, the same-origin AnyFileX download endpoint streams the response without persisting or inspecting the downloaded bytes. Private and local network targets are blocked, and redirect targets are validated.
Unlike legacy online converters that transmit entire files to third-party cloud servers, our architecture prevents network bottlenecks, provides near-instant processing, and eliminates cloud wait queues.
