Recommended workflow

Upload STEP Model. Drag .step or .stp CAD file.
Set Mesh Tolerance. Adjust angular chord tolerance for fine curved surfaces.
Download STL Mesh. Export STL ready for PrusaSlicer, Cura, or Bambu Studio.
Check units and model orientation. Confirm the STEP model’s units, coordinate system, visible bodies, and intended manufacturing scale.
Set mesh tolerances. Choose chordal deviation, angular tolerance, and binary or ASCII STL based on the required surface accuracy and file size.
Validate the mesh. Run a manifold, hole, normal, and self-intersection check in the target slicer before printing.

Common export issues

Facet tessellation being too coarse, showing polygon lines on round cylinders.
STL does not retain CAD feature history, materials, assemblies, or exact parametric surfaces.
Incorrect units can make the exported mesh thousands of times too large or too small.
Coarse tolerances create faceted curves while very fine meshes increase file size and processing time.
